Guest guest
Until recently, it was thought to be; then it was discovered that they were all too often confusing it with a real charmer, -Creutzfeld Disease, caused, they are reasonably certain by a virus. My mother had had the pandemic influenza of 1914, which may well have set it all off. No one else in the entire clan on that side has ever had it--yet. My father's MS was misdiagnosed as Alzheimer's (again!) in his later years, so I took him to UCLA to have him tested (where they had tested my mother); conclusion, Multiple Sclerosis. He was reading the stocks page the day he fell asleep and left us--in the dust! There are three possible genetic links for this, but are not always pre sent when the disease is found; just so you can relax; I have been tested for these and do not have them. Just do not smoke, and I think that you will be fine, and I likewise! I switched browsers and Yahoo did some mysterious thing and I suddenly got all the groups back but this one, and then, Oh! Joy! I got this one back, too! Whee! Do not worry about the wine! Or the whine! Should we serve cheese with our whines on this list? Love to you, Sharon, and to all on our list, n Medical News from News-Medical. Guest guest
No, my eldest sister smoked enough for the six of us! My parents were a bit hefty on the alcohol though; my father lived until age 95, and my mother until 102.5; neither had any form of liver disease nor pancreatic imapairment. One of my children smudged mightily from a young age until at age 16.5 yerars, the kid up and took the GED exams, aced them, lied about age, claimed to be 18, got a full time job, went to adult school, on to community college and lived in own apartment with sane room-mate and actually married a lovely young man! She got her first high-paying full- time professional job, for which the requirement was a master's degree, at age 17.5 by offering to work free for a week and betting that they would hire her; they did so on the third day! This is the kid who put hands on hips at about age three, and stood in the kitchen and informed me loudly: "I do not want to be told what to do; I want to tell everyone else what to do!" She seems to get away with it, too! Kid is absolutely gorgeous, despite resembling both her parents! Hubby and kids are gorgeous, too! Hubby has figured out how to "cope" with her! I admire your being able to give up that charming habit, Sharon. My husband quit to marry me, and never went back! Congratulations on doing a great thing for your health, especially in view of MS! Guest guest
I've been using Mozilla Firefox since my bank changed their security process. I could not get online to my bank's page with Internet Explorer and I finally called my banks "computer support/problem department". (I can't for the life of me think of the right term today... lol) After nearly an hour on the phone with this guy he finally had me download Firefox and I was then able to get online with my bank. I had never used anything except IE. Why does Komando recommend Firefox? The only problem I had is I can't always find my "favorites" (IE term). I've bookmarked sites and then can't find them later. Guest guest
Oh yeah, I feel SO much better.... Actually, dx at 91 is not bad...most people don't live to see 91!!! My mother, who I do not talk about, or to, just turned 81 two days ago. No I didn't call. I did say a quiet happy birthday to her in my mind. Peace and Blessings ~*~ Akiba ~*~ Pragmatic Visionary & Eternal Optimist! http://yodamamma.blogspot.com/ http://www.solay-twinflames.com -- Re: Medical News from News-Medical.Net - 28th September 2006 Well, red-wine fans, I have terrible news for you.
