Guest guest
Just thought you all might like to see how varied breakfast can be for people! One of the groups I belong to (online) did a little fun survey thing, and these were people's responses to question #4: QUESTION: What did you have for breakfast? -- Diane wrote: Lemon Cake with coconut frosting & coffee (i almost never do this, but it was just calling my name this morning)..LOL --- Barbara wrote: Can of Mt Dew --- Michele wrote: I was running a bit late this morning so instead of breakfast I opted for the caffiene free soda instead. -- Kathrin wrote: some bread with chocolate cream -- wrote: Kashi with yogurt, the same thing I have every day -- Barb wrote: bagel with cream cheese So, the moral of this story is: Eat whatever you want! Normal eaters do! ) (I just loved Diane's " Lemon Cake " idea! LOL) Jenn <>< Books Read: http://mizbooksreads.blogspot.com Faith Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/unshakablefocus Healthy Eating: http://intuitive-eating.blogspot.com Wishlist: http://www.librarything.com/catalog/mizbooks94

Guest guest
I would like to know what the renal diet consists of as I have had trouble with that in the past. Thanks. Guest guest
Krissy,Why do you feel that you have to eat "breakfast foods" for breakfast? The meaning of breakfast is to break the fast. It doesn't matter what food you eat, but you must eat something. Perhaps you would enjoy soup or ham, cheese and an apple toasted on half a bagel. Don't limit yourself to foods that people have defined as breakfast foods, just eat what you like to break the fast and get your metabolism moving again.SuzannHi ya'llMy problem is breakfast. I want to skip it, but end up very hungry when I do so. The reason I want to skip is b/c I hate traditional breakfast foods. I don't like cereal and milk, toast, oatmeal, or most breakfast foods. And eggs are too rich for me. So for the first time in my life I sat here this morning and thought, what DO I want? And it came to me. A bagel with cream cheese (perhaps the salmon spread kind), and a banana, and some milk. I am struggling and horrified right now. I can't eat that! Because I can't lose weight on that! What do you all think? By the way, another problem is my husband is on a renal (kidney) diet because he only has 20% kidney function from his bone marrow transplant. Should I give myself permission to eat foods different from his? I haven't picked them up from the store. Perhaps I should love myself enough to do so. Any advice would be appreciated.God bless, Krissy
Guest guest
I agree... try and " think outside the box. " Breakfast can be anything you enjoy. Try to include some protein of some kind. You could make extra dinner and eat leftovers for breakfast. Don't get boxed into your husband's diet. If he is tempted by things that aren't in his restricted diet, put them in a different place where he can't find them. I know it seems strange to eat chicken breast or steak or some other kind of meat, but if you don't like breakfast foods try something else. Good luck! > > > > Hi ya'll > > My problem is breakfast.
