Maybe you can wait and retest with an hpt and if you get the line go back for the blood test...one lady I know had positive hpt...negative beta...because numbers was low which meant no...she waited 2 days had another beta was told yes...she's now the mommy to karleigh...wait and retest!! Guest guest Posted September 17, 2002 Report Share Posted September 17, 2002 Lindsey, I have been right where you are myself.The confusion and the excitement now laced with depression is so painful...Just know that you have next month always!! Some hpts are well-known in tr circles for giving false postives more so than others...first response and epts are among those...those were my first 3 + and negative beta test...that's how I learned about the false readings...Try a Confirm, I bought mine at KMart...They pick up at 25miu of hcg hormone...that's what hormone is triggered when you are pregnant... Some hpts pick up at varying stages of miu...like you must have 100mius of hcg before that hpt will say you are pregnant...That may be what has happened...Also you need to always check the expiration dates on the boxes especially the hpts and opks.... I have a list of hpts and the amounts that they pick up I will post that asap and you can save it on your computer for future reference...all you have to do is :click file at the upper left...save as...text and then you can put it in a folder on your desktop...I've done tons of stuff that way over the last 2years...
