We extend our deepest sympathies to the victims of the horrible terrorist

attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.  We pray for the

families of those killed as well as for the recovery of those injured.

The loss of life among civilians, among those whom all of us in EMS, the Fire

Service and Law Enforcement are dedicated to protect, is tremendous this

day.

This loss darkens our hearts.

But even more painful is the loss of life among our own.  At this writing, it

is believed that hundreds of EMT’s, paramedics, firefighters and peace

officers were killed as they tried to rescue those injured and trapped in the

damaged buildings in New York City.

Truly these men and women, our brothers and sisters, are to be remembered as

heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Mere words cannot express our sorrow at the loss of thesebrave men and

women.

Together, let us remember them now, and remember them always………
