Guest guest
If a drug is stopped altogether they say it is discontinued. If they just put a drug on hold they still list it in their current list of prescribed medications, it is just temporarily being held back for whatever reason. Here they were able to tell that what was causing the dark colored stools. Sometimes they hold something to see if it is what is causing a particular reaction or to see if they still need it at all. Trisha Confused Hi, Recently the patient noticed a dark colored stool and went to see Dr. X and all his anti-arthritis medication has been *held*. Since then, the patient states his stool seems to be back to normal color. Then in the meds he says the pt is taking Relafen? Am I missing something? Guest guest
I dunno...when I called my neuro late last week and described stuff going on, he said, sounds like a flare, i could put you on IV steroids--i said, ok, well i'll give it over the weekend and see how it goes. When I called him on Monday and told him i had a few additional things, like double vision and leg weakness, he said, well, why don't we hold off on and wait and see how it goes. In the meantime, i went to reg doc yesterday, and was put on ceftin, antiobiotic for post nasal drip and likely pneumonia, secondary to pnd...when i woke up this am, i discovered i had been incontinent of both stool and urine during the night..oops! so...left another message on neuro's answering machine...would you guys inform your neuro about pneumonia, or do they not care about stuff like that? thanks, all, going back to bed for a nap before i go to my p/t job today...hoping all have a wonderful day, blessings, kate love, light, laughter, kate Attachment: vcard [not shown]
Guest guest
Any illness can bring on a flare or an attack. I just posted something last week along those lines--some stats on colds and how often MSers have an attack when they are ill. ANY illness can bring on a flare or attack. How long have you been sick? Yes, I think you should let the doc know you've been sick and especially about the loss of bowel and bladder control. I hope you feel better soon. So what is the part time job? Guest guest
Thanks Sharon--i must have missed that post of yours. duh...wish i hadn't ...I did feel a bit dumb --the neuro called back and i think he could hear in my voice i wasn't feeling too hot? he asked if i was feeling ok (duh) anyway, I said that i had gone to reg med doc yesterday and i have pneumonia 2ndry to the post nasal drip--and he said, oh then i really think we should hold off on the steroids--you are having what we call a pseud-flare, kind of like what you said Sharon, that the flare is related to my being ill, so it is not a true flare. I asked then if the antibiotic i'm on will relieve the flare--he said sometimes this pseudo ones last a while, but will eventually go away...On Tuesdays from 9am to 11:30am I an an assistant teacher for 2 and 3 yr olds in a small Bible class, while their Moms attend a women's Bible class/fellowship, then on Wed. and Thurs I work at a Christian nursery school I helped start 10 yrs ago --I do 1/2 hr. music classes for the 2 and 3 yr olds, then an afternoon 3 yr old class; on Thursdays i do another 2 yr old class and the 4 yr old class--it is a total of 5 classes=2 1/2 hours, but it is nice I get paid something like $27 per each 1/2 class. I don't know much about disability, but i did read if you are working 10 or less hours, one may be eligible for disability. This is about all i can manage to do--i was going to try and look for a full time job this year, now that i have 1 off to college, and the other 4 are in school til 3 or 4, but i just don't have the energy. blessings, kate love, light, laughter, kate Attachment: vcard [not shown]

He also has an emergency # to reach him after hours--it is a phone service that has him paged, and he is usually pretty prompt, like within a half-hour to 45 min. he'll call back. Dr. Decker, he's in Yorktown Heights, NY...gonna go rest now that i'm home from the nursery school, blessings, kate love, light, laughter, kate Attachment: vcard [not shown]

Guest guest
I highly recommend a book called "Why does he do that? Inside the minds of angry and controlling men" It gave me great insight to my ex and made me realize I wasn't crazy, he just made my world crazy. There is another book called "Too bad to stay, too good to leave" It asks you all these questions and at the end it breaks it down if you have a relationship that is salvagable or if you be better of on your own. It really helped me work through my feelings and make my decision. Another friend used it and her marriage is strong now. Just a thought? Love to all ' in Texaskatelloydkidz@... wrote: Hi , thank you for your very sweet note! You lifted my spirits today! As far as work goes--yesterday was the first day back at the nursery school--school started this past Monday. Last year, between MS, trying to commit suicide (had to go to psych hospital for about a week, then an outpatient program for 2 weeks after)--I missed more than 20 music classes! I get 20 sick classes--not days as i thought it was. So--for me, i do 5 classes in 2 days, so 20 classes adds up fast! I didn't want to start the school year off on a bad foot, calling in sick the first 2 days! So I went in yesterday, and I'll go in for my 2 classes today--it is only from 11 to 12 noon, 1/2 hour per music class. Yes, now i understand that since my body was brewing an infection--post nasal drip and pneumonia, my MS symptoms came on with a bang! I am so off balance that i bought my first cane ever, and am using it...Unfortunately, my other stuff going on, unlike you having kidney stones (poor you!! & n bsp; ) is my kids, esp. younger ones are having a hard time seeing me with a cane! My youngest, who is 6 and a half, has been really acting out, violent, calling me names and very angry. I have been considering leaving my husband for some time now, as what all 5 of the kids see, and it seems to impact the 2 boys more, is my husband's rage, criticism and judgemental attitude...My husband does work like a dog though--he is a stage hand in the theatre, and works 5 to 7 days a week, anywhere from 10 to 12 to even 18 hours a day sometimes...so, as far as help, my husband does not allow me to have someone come in to clean--he expects me and kids to do it all. With school, homework and their social lives, my kids don't tend to 'naturally' help, and it is like pulling teeth lately to get them motivated and helping. oh, i'm so sorry for this long post, i just have 'run-off' of the mouth today...time to stop by Starbucks for a coffee, then off to nursery school, and then hopefull y a good nap after some housework! blessings and thanks again for your words...katelove, light, laughter, katebegin:vcardn:Rothschild;katefn:Kathleen Rothschildtel;cell:618-0060tel;home:914 762-8734tel;work:914 332-1943url:http://www.oprah.isagenix.com/adr:;;6 Spaulding Place;Ossining;NY;10562;USAversion:2.1email;internet:katelloydkidz@...end:vcard
Guest guest
Wow! Thank you ! I never heard of either of those books...and well, my daugher wants me to take her to Borders Books today (my sis works there and gives my kids gift cards to use!)--anyway, think i'll pick up one or both of those! I esp. like the sound of the 2nd one...i have been trying to discern for YEARS whether to go or stay! hugs and thanks, kate love, light, laughter, kate Attachment: vcard [not shown]
