Guest guest
Hi, I'm new here. I'm about 1/2 way through Tibole & Resch's " Intuitive Eating " and I'm also reading Tibole's " Eating on the Run " . I was just wondering how you balance intuitive eating with an overscheduled life. I have certain times when I can eat. If I'm not hungry, I have to eat anyway because I'll be ravenous by the time I get another opportunity to eat. To make matters worse, I can't always anticipate what will hold me over until the next mealtime. For example, right now, I'm hungry bordering on extremely hungry. By the time lunchtime arrives, I'll be ravenous. I wasn't very hungry this morning, so I had a bagel and a cup of milk before I left for work. I packed a small protein bar and a sugar-free jello (I'm hooked on that stuff) for breaktime. On most days, that would be very satisfying. Today it wasn't. So, now I'm looking at 45 minuted before I can go to lunch and my stomach is growling. Sometimes, I'm fine with the workday eating schedule until after work. Then, I'm so shaky-hungry that nothing stops the hunger. But, unless I plan for a snack two hours after lunch and an hour before I go home, I can't do anything to stave off that hunger. How can one eat intuitively when one can only eat on a schedule and has to plan ahead for snacks? Sandi
