good advice and being held accountable

I was chatting with our good friend Donna tonight and I was telling her how I felt like I had blown my eating today because I pigged out on some oreo-type cookies. I had done pretty good the rest of the day but I haven't been keeping track of my points. Well..... she suggested that I figure out the points and see if I had done all that bad. So I decided I would - since I have flex-points with WW maybe I didn't do all that bad and I might feel better about myself. I figured out how many points I blew on the cookies first.... 24 points!!! I never would have eaten that many if I had figured out the point value FIRST. lol... So I figured out the points for the rest of the day - I walked and figured out that I had earned one exercise point... turns out I used all my points and 19 flex points. I had 35 flex points for the week so I still have 16 left. I will be weighing in on Thurs. I missed my last weigh-in because I had a bridal shower to go to at the same time. The really good thing is that I ate all my veggies and I exercised! So thank you Donna for helping me realize that all is not lost and I feel a lot better about myself now. You're advice was good - and I start tomorrow with all my points and a new determination to keep track of them BEFORE I eat them.

Oh, I almost forgot - I did my grocery shopping today and I bought a lot of veggies, lean beef & chicken and some fruit. My problem tonight was that I had bought the cookies for the kids and after eating my salad I wasn't full and I munched on cookies while I got kids ready for bed. THEN I ate the baked potato. I should have had the potato instead of the cookies. So here's my new formula:

+ + + + + + + + =
