Guest guest
Crystal, I am so sorry things didn't work out this time. Don't feel bad for feeling discouraged. I only knew that I was pregnant for one week when the same thing happened to me. It was like a truck hit me. (Twice, it was a surprise pregnancy). I was a lot more upset than I thought for a lot longer than I thought I would be. Hang in there. K. UD - TTC > Update > > > Hello Ladies. Your doctor is right about the stats, but I'm not sure about the part about the embryo never forming. Sometimes it's a normal embryo that can't finish implanting properly. Whatever the case, if you feel as if you lost a loved child, and you feel like grieving that child, don't let someone tell you otherwise. Lots of IVF couples save photographs of their little cell clusters and consider them to be children of a sort. It's what you make of it. I had a couple of those kinds of very early miscarriages myself. I'm glad that you see a silver lining in your loss. I also felt a little heartened by the one I lost this past summer, as well as by my first biochemical pregnancy, which I lost between 4 & 5 weeks. But you know, a live baby would have been better. I know you know how that goes. Keep the faith! Beth

Guest guest
Thanks alot Beth! I am grieving over my loss, but I still have a 6 year old daughter to take care of. So I must suck it up the best that I can for her sake. I will make it through this & hopefully I will never lose my faith. I know that god never gives you what you cannot handle & that this happened to me specifically for a reason. I have had a lot of pregnancy related problems within my family over the past 4 years. My sister and her husband both carry a recessive gene that when it combines in the gene pairs of the embroys dna structure causes a deadly defect in the urea cycle. She carried a baby 35 weeks that presented normal in all ways even when she gave birth, but once the baby was out of the womb & had to use its on urea cycle in the liver to break down certain foods it rarely survives. Needless to say, her baby went into a coma after its first feeding and died a week later. The baby went into labor because its body was not getting rid of amonia like it should & it became toxic waste inside the body. Anyways, that baby was born in Jan 98 & since then she has had three more pregnancies 2 in which the babies survived & 1 in which through genetic testing the doctors were able to tell that the baby had the defect and she had to terminate at 20 weeks. So, our situations are not always the worst situations. I must be thankful for that. Crystal, UU crystal, UU Re: Update > Hello Ladies. Guest guest
Your right. I absolutely agree with you that if I had been much farther along then this incident would have been much more devastating. I am very thankful that I did not have to deal with being much farther along. Thanks. crystal, uu Update > > > Hello Ladies. I went to the doctor today & found out that my > pregnancy failed. Guest guest
quiet list today! I've been doing reading, some journal writing, NOT weighing, being present at at least one meal per day (as in not reading or watching a movie). I'm walking every day and I really enjoy that. I've bought my year old puppy a raincoat to prepare for winter. Soon I better buy one for me! Last year during our rainy season he wasn't old enough to be out on the street. OH... someone wrote me thinking I meant a "cockatoo", a bird, instead of cockapoo, a dog that is half cocker spaniel and half poodle--I'm sorry I didn't get around to answering because I love hearing from you all!! Next week I will be at a conference and I am so glad that this year I won't have to have the "uh oh" I'm off my diet feeling. I can just pay attention, stop at a 5, and be OK. I hope everyone is having a day with lots of successes! Lynne
