Why

On August 31, 2005 Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) presented Florida's Medicaid Waiver application and, as required by Florida law, requested public input for 30 days. This conference is intended to help Floridians understand the changes being proposed to Florida's Medicaid Program. AHCA is requesting comments be submitted by September 28th, 2005.

Background

To make changes to the Medicaid program, AHCA must receive approval from the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) to waive certain federal regulatory provisions. In order to receive their approval, the state is required to submit a waiver application to CMS.
