Description of SeminarThis Web seminar is designed to introduce participants to assistive and accessible technology tools and strategies direclty related to general education curriculum. Participants will explore the use of assistive technology tools and strategies for providing access to curriculum. They will also learn about Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and how its principles are the foundation of designing and implementing a curriculum that is accessible for all learners.

Learner ObjectivesParticipants will be able to:

Develop a deep understanding of current NCLB and IDEA policies that impact IEP development

Identify approaches for providing access to general education

Identify flexible learning goals as well as modify existing state standards to ensure access by all learners

Identify students' needs/learning styles and potential classroom barriers
