Guest guest
Jenna, Hello, thanks for your story. As my email just explained, I also have a uu, but have been unsuccessful carrying a pg to term. I just wanted to ask if you had any problems before having your first child? Any problems getting pg or staying pg? I'm so happy to hear you have a healthy baby girl and another on the way. You give me hope. Lots of hope, luck and +++ wishes for you, R Roll Call Hi, I am (aka Jenna becaused my name is too popular) lol I have a unicornuate uterus. Which was discovered at the emergency c- sec of my daughter. My pregnancy with her went perfectly fine untill my water broke at 35 weeks. Most likley due to lack of room. Anyway, at the time of surgery I overheard the doc saying to her assistant , " looks like she has only half a uterus. " I thought what does that mean, but didn't do anything about it, because this " Idiot " of a doctor told me at that time " not to have anymore children " then at my 6 weeks appt.she said she never said that!! Ughhh! Making a long story short... I had an HSG performed by another doctor years later, diagnosing the UU uterus. Since then we have been told that, risks of miscarriages and preterm labor and c-secs. are higher but other than that " go ahead, have more kids " So.... Now, I am almost 11 weeks prego with # 2 baby, so far so good. This is my story as of now. Newbies, welcome to the group! Oldies, best wishes, and keep up the updates. Guest guest
Hi Jenifer R., I share with you the feeling of relief at having this group as a great resource. Makes a person feel not so alone... I am so sorry for your miscarriages, I know how heartbreaking this is. I also know how it feels for dr.'s to be in disbelief when they see your uterus... Here is a link for a e-mail list similar to this one which deals specifically with Unicornate Uterus. I'm sure that you will find some positive stories here. uu@... Guest guest
Thanks for your email. Sometimes, it's nice to hear the same worries and frustrations echoed in others. I just found that group last night and signed up. Thanks for pointing it out to me though! I think as a group we should try to share our resources ongoing. Knowledge is power! Guest guest
My name is Marc and I've been largely a " lurker " since joining the list about a month ago. My wife was diagnosed as likely having either a SU or BU when she miscarried last January (which was confirmed by a HSG in June). Turns out it is an SU and she had a lap and septoplasty today. So far, so good. He thinks he got all of it. Most importantly, only a few hours after the surgery, my wife is feeling fine! __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Sorry for the late reply, but we were away for Labor Day weekend, and things have just settled back down (for a minute or two ...). I just recently joined this group and am really enjoying getting to know everyone. Here's me: Bethany Age 34 Didelphic Uterus with 2 cervixes (I've forgotten the abbrev. for that, sorry...) no vaginal duplication We have 2 daughters - both carried to term (38 and 37 weeks respectively), both breech and born by c-section, both small (5lbs. 6oz and 5lbs. 4oz) Currently PG with an EDD of 3/8/02 and experiencing a lot of spotting/bleeding (which also happened with both earlier pgs, but not making me any less nervous about it :-) )
