Guest guest
Hi Igda, welcome to the group! These folks are very helpful, and I'm sure you'll find a lot of good information. I just wanted to let you know that I've had lingual braces for about 2 years, and I had surgery for an overbite about a year ago. My ortho swears I'm nearing the end of my time in braces... but actually it hasn't been too bad. Let me know if/when you go ahead with the lingual braces; it was a bit of an adjustment for me, but I've been really happy with my decision. Since my surgery, I've been smiling a whole lot more, and no one has a clue that I'm still in the midst of reconstruction. Take care, Kris
Guest guest
Hi Kris! Thank you very much for responding so fast.Well i deceided for the braces until i have dental insurance.I just moved 2 weeks ago from Arizona to Los Angeles,Ca.And my Ortho also said that after my treatment when my teeth are straighten out he would do the Jaw correction surgery,it's performed on a patient whose jaws require surgical alignment so that my teeth can meet in a normal healthy bitr.He said it changes my facial appearence. And he said the insurance covers that.So i'm going to wait until i have the insurance.Did your insurance cover anything?I'm happy for you that you smile more often,i want that too,i hope my dreams come true. Thanks Igda Re: my first visit to my Orthodontist Hi Igda, welcome to the group! These folks are very helpful, and I'm sure you'll find a lot of good information.
