Guest guest
Anita, With all the exercise that you've been doing I'm positive it's all just muscle weight. In fact, it could be that you've lost a couple of pounds of fat but replaced them with muscle. I agree, I think you should up the calories if you're doing that much exercise. Keep up the great work!! ~ Babette ~ Anita's Weigh In I gained about a lb this week, but considering 2 days ago I was up about 6-8 lbs I think thats pretty good. And I have been excercising 6 days a week. Sometimes 2 times. I think some of my clothes feel looser, but unless I am going to work I usually wear sweats so I can't tell very well. I think I am going to try to cut the excercise down to no more than 1 once a day and try to stick to once a day and see what that does. I know I am building muscle, but....... Also I have this handy dandy book that tells you how to figure out how many calories you should eat to weigh what you want to weigh and for me and a sedentary life style I should be eating 1620 calories. For a moderately active lifetstyle I should be eating about 2025 calories. I figure with the excercise I am getting right now I could be considered moderately active. For a very active lifestyle it is 2700-3300. So after cutting the second time of excercie a day out if that doesn't work I am going to add a few more calories.Anita
Guest guest
Anita, Yahoo must be burping again...I did not get your message but did get Jon's reply to you so I knew I missed something! UGH!!! One pound is nothing and probably is from all the exercise. I am so proud of your hard work. I do agree with Jon though, once a day is plenty...your muscles need time to recover. Keep up the good work. ~Coco~ > I gained about a lb this week, but considering 2 days ago I was up > about 6-8 lbs I think thats pretty good. And I have been excercising > 6 days a week. Guest guest
I gained 3 of the 4 lbs back that I lost last week. I have been drinking a lot of water and not runnning to the bathroom all the time like I did before when I drank all this water so its possible I am either retaining water or I was dehydrated to bein with. Either way its a bummer, but I am going to continue with this. That seems to be my pattern anyway. Lose 4 gian 3, lose 2 gain 1. I'm sill ahead. Guest guest
Anita, it sounds like you could be retaining water. With me it's kind of a shot in the dark. Some days I can weigh in the morning and then weigh 5lbs heavier that evening because of retaining water or what have you. You are still ahead and that's great! You have noticed that you have not been running to the bathroom like before when drinking that much water so...... I'm sure it's water weight. You are doing a great job so be proud of that! Guest guest
Kim Yes it is, but I know with the excecrcise I am doing something right. I don't get out of breathe as quickly and I really feel better, so I am going to try to keep it up. Anita Re: Anita's Weigh In Anita, You sound like me loose a couple gain a couple. Guest guest
Anita, Congrats on the 4 pound loss! How many miles do you normally walk, and how many days per week on average? Do you use your pedometer? Also, where do you do your walking? -Stix
Guest guest
Stix I use the WATP tapes. I usually use the 2 mile tape once a day 5 days a week, normally once a day. This week do to my massive overeating this weekend I am going to sneak a an extra times 2 or 3 days. I don't use my pedometer because I keep forgetting to put it on, but the tape lengths are supposed to be fairly accrate so I go by that. Guest guest
Anita, I've seen those tapes and always wondered what was on them? Do they talk about walking? Do they play music? How does the tape know that you've walked 2 miles? Wow! You are really dedicated to walk 2 miles every day! That's great! Where do you walk? -Stix
Guest guest
Stix I think a lot of people here use them or have used them. There is music, not good, but there is music. You walk in place, do kicks, knee lifts, side steps ans kick backs. As far as how they know you have walked 2 miles there is a meter on the 2 ile tape that pops up every half mile on the 1 mile it pops up every 1/4 mile. I don't remeber how often it pops up on the 3 mile. I've only done that one twice. I walk in my living room. The tape wears you out. Although surprisingly enough the one with the stretchie and not the weights wears me out more. They really don't alk about walking on them you just do it and she talks some and tells you what to do with some interaction with her walkers on the tape.
