Best Cancer?? I think not!

Hi Thyca buds

Me again,

On the note of thyca being the " Best Cancer " . I have some good lines

for ya. I too have heard the " Best Cancer " line and the " This is the

best cancer to get " line.

It gets better....While I was having vocal cord paralysis after my 2nd

surgery in 2 weeks, my Mother told me that I had the doc all scared

cause I wasn't breathing right. He told her that this (my decision to

have the TT) was " Overkill " . Then the same doc on a follow-up visit

after switching to an endo who would treat me with RAI said " oh so,

you're gonna stomp on it after it's dead " . I was appalled to say the

least and if I do happen to be dealing with a reccurence and need more

surgery I definitly WON " T be going to him. As a matter of fact, he'll

get a " nice " letter explaining why too.

This Best Cancer crap has got to go. Where is the sensitivity of the

docs. I agree that yes, I would rather have this over breast or

ovarian cancer BUT it is still cancer. It can (but usually doesn't)

kill. It will affect each and everyone one of us somehow for the rest

of our lives and it is truly life altering.

I cring everytime I read or hear those words.

line(s).] I weep for how you have been treated. Such things

ought not to be.
