Guest guest
Aren't most beans allowed on the LID? Beans are a really good source of protein. If canned beans are out because of added salt which may or may not be iodized, preparing dried beans is within the skill level of even hypo people. Raw unsalted nuts can be used like meats in stir-frys or added to a vegetable stew base. If your primary source of protein is soy, LID provides you with a great opportunity to expand your culinary horizons. Soy-only vegetarian diets are about as exciting as strict meat and potato omnivorian diets. Live a LIDdle!
