The Assessment of Basic Language andLearning Skills (The ABLLS), created by W.Partington, Ph.D. and Mark L. Sundberg, Ph.D., is anassessment tool, curriculum guide, and skills-trackingsystem used to help guide the instruction of languageand critical learner skills for children with autismor other developmental disabilities. This powerfultool is now available to parents, teachers, speechpathologists, behavior analysts, and others whodesign, coordinate, and/or supervise language orskill-acquisition programs.With the ABLLS,

you can precisely assess a child’srepertoire of language and learning skills, as well asidentify when, where, and how the skills are beingused. It enables IEP goals and objectives to beclearly defined and helps in strategically targetingthe learning needs of a student.
