yes .1 is less than .895 (i know it is like homework)

but even with a decimal point they get smaller when

the actual number get smaller)

yup, a bit more synthroid and it should go down, but

you got it.. more t4, less tsh.....

to a point, yes less hypo symptoms, but .1 tsh is

pretty suppressed and some folks get hyper symptoms...

rapid pulse, or extra heart beats, a little heart

fluttering (if find if i stay away from caffeine i'm

fine)... so again its one of those your milage may

the RAI ablation should " mop " up any remaining thyroid

tissue and then TG is a reliable marker, a tg test

right now would probably show the presense of thyroid

tissue if you are pre RAI... and wouldn't be a useful

recurrence marker....

questions are the way to go!!!! understanding is the

Yes, .1 is less than .895. Say the numbers to yourself - one tenth and 8

tenths. Does that make sense. You have 1/10 and 8/10. (Hope I didn't

sound condescending - math is my strength and I try to give word pictures to

explain).

My TSH is .009 and she said I could drop my synthroid from .125 to .1. Does

this seem right?

4 tumors removed 5-10-00

TT 5-17-00

Bi-lateral neck dissection removal of two more tumors one the carotid artery

and one on the jugular vein and 37 lymph nodes removed 6-27-00

RAI 138.5 08-21-00

Current TSH .009

tg 3.8

it is in the right direction, the drop in dosage.. but

it might or might not hit the mark of .10.. a

bloodtest in 6 weeks will determine that

Sounds right to me to reduce your T4 a bit since your tsh is a bit low

Gloria--

> My TSH is .009 and she said I could drop my synthroid from .125 to .1.

Does

> this seem right?

Probably. That is extremely suppressed (remember--Dr. Ain suggests TSH be

suppressed to less than 0.10).

My TSH is also currently 0.009, so I just dropped from .175 to .150

Synthroid. I want my TSH to rise just a bit to ~0.02--which is where I

happen to feel good.

Be sure to get TSH checked ~6 weeks after any T4 dose change, to see how it

worked.
