I think calcium and magnesium help with tight or spasm-y muscles. I use the 3 6 9 oil which is marine/fish oil but also I believe has flax, borage oil and evening primrose oil--these all help for 'joint mobility' it states, as well as gives your hair, skin and nails a nice glow.glad to hear you're feeling better! But 3am?? get some rest! hugs, kate

After 3 months of Omega 3 Fish Oil my bad cholesterol dropped and the good cholesterol went up. After just 3 months! I wonder what it will be the next time! It's funny you mention ginkgo because I just heard something about it from a doctor. I think it was on the last HealthTalk program that the docs were saying ginkgo was showing real promise for cognitive dysfunction. I guess I need to add that to my arsenal. Neurontin really does work. Just be sure that if you decide to go off of it at any time to wean off and not stop it suddenly. Tight muscles or spasms? Well stretching helps with the tight muscles. Is it your calves? Or where? I believe in doing things as naturally as possible but there comes a point where 'natural' doesn't take care of spasms and

spasticity. Good luck. Maybe a neurologist appointment is a good idea? :) hugs)) Sharon trista_abeloe wrote: I know I've read this before, but I can't remember. Please give any info you have. I

recently started Fish oil and Ginkgo. My Dr. suggested both. Fish oil for my cholesterol, and Ginkgo for fatigue. I thought I read that these were used by some of you for other reasons. What other benefits do you get from them? Any suggestions for "tight" muscles, or spasms? I really don't want to add another prescription drug. Any advice on other supplements for fatigue? I do believe I may be starting to feel better, and I'm hoping it's the supplements. (I recently started Neurontin too though. Now 300 mg 3 times a day) Thanks for any info you may have! (oh yeah. It is 3:33 am. I decided I felt SO good, I wasn't taking any bedtime pills. I am hurting all over and can't sleep. LOL. Sharon, 3 months???? WOW!!! I hope it works that well for me. My cholesterol is like 232 or something close, can't remember. It has stayed there for at least 10 years. (I never had it checked earlier) My Dr. suggested the fish oil, instead of yet another drug. He specializes in Holistic medicine. So, I decided to pick his brain for what to take for fatigue. I thought the fish oil or Ginkgo was getting results for other problems here though.

I wasn't sure if the Neurontin was working or not. But, it must be, since I've decreased my need for pain meds here lately.

My tight muscles are the backs of my thighs. The spasms are in my arms and claves. A Neuro? I'm in the stubborn camp with Challis. Besides, it's all in my head! LOL. Thanks Sharon, Trista
