All,

Does anyone have any thoughts on or experience with

how often ultrasounds should be done during a

Bicornuate Uterine pregnancy?

I am in my 2nd trimester (15 weeks), and now that my

bleeding has stopped, my OB's don't plan to do any

more ultrasounds until 20 weeks, at which point we

will start having them every 2 weeks.

After having had an ultrasound every 1 or 2 weeks (and

sometimes even more often) from week 8 to week 13, it

is very strange for me to not be able to " see " that

everything is really ok in there. We have heard the

heartbeat, which is comforting, but I'm curious as to

whether my right horn is expanding enough.

Is it really OK for me to " sit tight " for the next

month and trust that everything is ok? How am I

supposed to relax?

On the positive side, my last bleeding episode is now

5 weeks behind me. I am so relieved and hopeful.

Thanks for all your support; I am so thankful to have

this group who understands.

Ula

Thanks, !

In answer to your question, no, not really, they just

said that there was no reason to be concerned right

now, now that the bleeding has stopped, and that we

will need to monitor more closely again when the baby

starts getting bigger. They're mostly looking for

breech presentation and growth restriction and I guess

there's not as much of a concern with either of those

until after 20 weeks.

I've been having daily talks with the baby about

staying head down. I want to avoid a C-section, but

of course if that is what it takes I will do it!

Thanks again.
