Guest guest
, There is an educational program that is sponsored by the History Channel, The History Network, and the National History Day foundation. It involves kids in history classes all over the country participating by doing a research project and then competing at school, congressional district and state levels. The winners of each state level go on to the National competition in Washington DC - actually it's the university of land at College Park. Genny competed in the Individual Project Competition. The research project has a theme each year and this year it was the impact of techonology on history. Genny did hers on Mummification, and she won first place at all levels and will go on to participate at the week long national event in June. She had a really outstanding project and we are really proud of her - as is her school. Thanks for asking, Jeannine wrote: > > > Jeannine, What did Genny do to win this honor? Guest guest
That is so wonderful, you must be so proud. So did Genny go to the movies to see " The Mummy? " My husband loved it and said it was a cross between Indian and the Phantom for all you action movie fanatics. Guest guest
Hi , Thank You for the information. Where do you live? We live in Atlanta, GA and my son will be attending his pre-school classes (4 hours a day) since Aug 21st. He is going to turn 3 on Aug 9th. He started talking and most of them not clear yet. First sentence he learned is 'I am mad' and says that whenever he is mad at me or I am mad at him. Guest guest
Hi, Charlotte. I remember you, Max, and Nick, as well. Isn't it weird to think of our kids as fifth graders?? is going into the fifth grade with a transliterator, too. Is there a parent group in Fort Worth these days? I learned a lot from the group that met at the Speech and Hearing Clinic. That clinic was great for us, too. We haven't found the great quality of speech therapy and auditory discrimination training since we left. Georgia is nice, though. Lots of trees! I hope all is well with your family, too. Guest guest
Welcome , I am new here also and just diagnosed a week or so ago with FMS. I don't really know that much but I think I did read somewhere that a trauma injury can possible end up with Fibro. I don't know where mine started. But I can remember having IBS even when I was a little girl and other symptoms like restless legs, etc. I have huge knots in my neck, shoulders, trapeze area too, numb hands most of the time. Right now I am going to therapy where they do heat, massage (trigger point and sweeping massage), stretching exercises. I do think this is helping but I worry what will happen when my physical therapy is done. Oh well one day at a time (sometimes one minute at a time). I do take pain meds, muscle relaxers and neurotin for my Fibro, it does help. I have also ordered some pilate dvd's and I am looking for a Tai Chi dvd (beginner) to see if that will help stretch the muscles that are so tight and painful. I think it's a matter of finding what works for you for pain relief. Anyway welcome to the group! Take care, Pam > Hi, > > I sent my original posts to a moderator on accident. I was hoping to get support. I am 32, married, and I fell 2 years ago and now am pretty sure I'll be diagnosed with Fibro very soon.
