I have been reading posts the past few days (as always) and I just

wanted to tell Lea and Cheryl, it sounds like you are having a

difficult time setting up support systems and I had that same problem

in a sense I still do. The person I look to most for support eats

chips and drinks coke (MY FAVORITE!!) in front of me all of the

time. But, anyway, the whole idea of this group to me was that since

I could not get support from family and friends due to opinions or

just location, I needed to set up my own support group and I did that

through the lists and support group meeting. I cant say I am having

the best time with this surgery and there are alot of things going on

mentally for me, but, just knowing that all of these people have gone

through some of the same experiences I have is comforting. If you

just need to talk or wants someone there when you are in the

hospital, let me know, I would be glad to help. I dont know where I

would have been without Pam and Lyssa.

First I want to apologize for dumping so much on my last note. I was

feeling really reallly really bad (in case you could not tell). I cannot

stand it when my husdnand and I fight. I love him but he is very selfish

and stubborn and has no problem with putting me down to get his way and

this is upsetting. We did have a nice talk last night and I told him how I

cannot have him acting like this and he said he understood and was sorry

and was goning to start now working on it. Time will tell.

Well this is of course one thing but not really the kind of not being

supportive I was worrying about. I was talking about being helpfull around

the house doing things I cannot do. Maybe helping me in and out of bed,

and I am REALLY concerned about this going to the bathroom issue. I had to

laugh at the wooden spoon comment <grin>. Does that really work?

Cheryl,

I found the wooden spoon thing to really work for me, but some people find

it more annoying than anything. I think it's a trial and error thing, you

either like it, or not. I say it's worth a shot !
