Yeah I thought that they pulled all of those off the market in the US, and they

removed them from those who had them.!

Implanon is relatively new here in Australia, but is supposed to be quite a

safe method of contraception. It is a progesterone only implant which is

placed in the upper arm, and lasts for three years. one of the other mothers

at school has one.

Ina, I would suggest that you see your doctor....your bleeding could be some

kind of infection. Also, if you have changed any of your other medications,

they could be interfering with your absorption of the implanon. A prime

candidate could be vitamin C. Vitamin C increases the absorption rate of

medications, so if you are taking Vit C and then stop taking it, your

medications become less effective, which can lead to things like

breakthrough bleeding.
