Guest guest
It's been so great to have a place to communicate with kindred spirits. This web site has been very helpful. Having recently left AA, I am now in the market for some new friends. I have been traveling the world meeting a lot of new people who really have their feet on the ground. They speak in complete sentences bereft of jargon and hackneyed clichés. How refreshing it has all been. I look back on my AA experience and just wonder what I must have been thinking at the time. It's funny, I now look at AA as one of the most vile consequences of my drinking, and believe me I went through hell before I got to AA. If a return to AA was a condition to be fulfilled in the event of a relapse, I think most of us on this site would think twice before picking up again. I'm as thrilled to be free of AA as I am to be free of alcohol/drugs. I think a few more weeks of venting should take care of ten years of being brainwashed, patronized, and disempowered. Thanks Everybody. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/12-step-free - Simplifying group communications
