Guest guest
Moria, Since my Docter won't give us a perscription for DMSA I might just chelate my four year old daughter with ALA only. I'm waiting on results of a stool exam from GSDL to see if her yeast and bacteria levels are ok. She is showing lots of symtons of Hg poisioning lately and I really want to start something over the holidays. Could I get DMSA or DMPS somewhere without a perscription? Does ALA come in a suppository? What is the protocol for ALA alone?

Does ALA come in a >suppository? What is the protocol for ALA alone? Dear mwagnit@..., 1. IF YOU WANT TO you can buy DMSA without a prescription. /files/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA I am not recommending that you do this, it is up to you what you want to do. 2. You can read about Andy's suggestions for how to chelate with ALA only here: /files/ANDY_INDEX /files/Andy_dose_sched There are a couple of risks/issues with ALA but Andy's METHOD for use of ALA alone is very similar to for DMSA or DMSA+ALA. Issues: ALA crosses the BBB and this involves both potential risk and potential benefits. ALA tends to decrease excretion of copper, so IF your daughter has high copper, this can make it even higher (which is a problem). (zinc tends to lower copper.) Each of these issues applies differently to different individuals. 3. I don't know the answer to the suppository question. I don't know if this " works " . I also don't know where you would buy them. I could provide directions for how to make suppositories, but, since I don't know if this would work well, will skip them. (If you want directions ask-- I have an herb book with a receipe for this.) See ANDY_INDEX to see if any comments on the suppositories question. Moria
