Guest guest
noticed your post to the vv list about feeling better. My problem started with IC, couple mos later fibro set in, and then the absolute worst, vulvodynia. What a nightmare. I always wonder if the bladder infection caused the vulvodynia. I think it is more likely the tense pelvic floor muscles cause the bladder infections, I can lead you to some research I have done on this if you are interested. Do you have any fibro pain at all? I was wondering what your vulvodynia symptoms were, and what you feel has helped you in controlling that pain. I tried the citrate, 5 a day, and couldn't go to the bathroom at all. Massive magnesium, which I used to take even before getting sick for constipation, makes me burn more, so I have to go easy with it. Maybe I will try a smaller dose. I did quite a bit of physical therapy, my muscles are a mess. Was getting better then my PT threw my back out and doc did a trigger point injection in a place he shouldn't have and my muscles turned to stone. Bummer. Now I have intense muscle spams, but the burning is better overall. Kind of feel like I am giving birth to a donkey all day, didn't have that before. How is you IC doing, does the macrodantin help that? It's funny that I had a bladder infection 7 yrs prior to IC and it wouldn't go away. Doc said he would give me stronger antibiotic, macrodantin and it did the trick. When I got IC, almost 3 yrs ago I tried four diff antibiotics, kept asking for macrodantin, doc said they don't make anymore, macrobid instead, now I know macrodantin is still made. Went for an annual exam, to my surprise had flaming bladder infection/enterococcus, had no idea. I have been staring at the macrodantin now for seven days scared to take it. ANtibiotics make me very very sick, just curious how the side effects are for you. Do you have constipation or bowel problems at all?] Sorry for all the questions, was just so excited you are feeling better. Can't imagine raising three kids with this. Good for you!!!!!!!! Did you find the physical therapy to be painful? Did you have internal work? Look forward to hearing from you. Jackie
Guest guest
Jackie, << ANtibiotics make me very very sick, >> I realized you didn't mean for this to reach the list, but it did, & I have a question. How do antibiotics make you sick? And have you ever taken Acidophilus and/or Bifidus or eaten lots of yogurt while you were on antibiotics? If not, you are a prime candidate for a yeast infection in your colon, which will get worse with each round of antibiotics that you take. This can cause diarrhea and a host of other problems. If you suspect that you might have a Candida infection, you can go to my website and take a screening questionnaire. There is also more information about Candida on my site. I developed this problem over 25 years ago while taking antibiotics for acne, but didn't discover it until 2 years ago. Since then, I have been learning every thing I can about it, and want to share this info with others. Hope this helps.
