Guest guest
Freemind, Hi I'm Gena, 37, married, 2 girls, live in Alaska and I have lost 84 pounds in the last 2 years. You are right about gimmicks and diets. They do not work! Simple behavior modification, changing habits, lifestyle. That is all it takes. Cut portions and increase activity, drink more water, ect. It helps to go back and read old posts. I like to get mine e-mail. Then I can set aside ones to respond to later. Take care, Gena On Sunday, November 10, 2002, at 07:04 AM, freemind1998 wrote: > Hi. Guest guest
Hi My name is and I just WW last week lol so haven't lost any weight that I know of till tonight. Nice to meet you There are TWO things you give your kids ROOTS and WINGS!!!! New to this group Hi there, I just wanted to introduce myself - I joined this group yesterday and you guys seem to be in the same place I am regarding attitudes towards weight loss. I'm also part of Bootcamp Buddies, so I take all of this very seriously. I started WW right before Thanksgiving and I'm down about 17 pounds - I'll know for sure when I go for my weigh in this afternoon. I'm creeping close and closer to those single digit sizes....this is very exiciting!
Guest guest
Welcome ! This is an awesome group. Lots of support, a minimum of whining, and lots of wonderful insights. I think those are my favorite posts...when someone says " I realized something about myself today " and shares, causing all of us to reflect on our own journeys! Guest guest
Hey Penni, I can relate to your struggle with not looking your weight. I am 180Ibs, 5ft, 5inches and everyone - including my doctor, fitness trainer, family and friends swear I look at most 150Ibs. It has discouraged me in the past. Emmapenni_cannon wrote: Hi I am new to this group and to IE. I have struggled with the diet/binge mindset since about 25 or so-after the birth of our son. I have literally done every diet plan out there and even lost 60lbs. on Weight Watchers. That was my one and only diet success. But unfortunately some of that weight has crept back on. I am about 40lbs. overweight. I have to say that I carry it well (or hide it well) because no one not even the nurse at the Drs. office can believe that I weigh this much. I started looking into IE because I heard an interview with McPhee from American Idol. She practices IE as a process of recovery from Bulimia. I am almost 38. Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? Check out new cars at Yahoo! Autos.
