Guest guest
Alice, I understand what you're going through. I have a long history of ear trouble and am resistant to many antibiotics. I got an infection a few weeks ago, took the meds, and still feel like something is up. Yesterday I woke up with vertigo, which is a relatively new phenomenon for me, and I think is due to a inner ear virus or infection. My surgery is 4/25, and I'm worried this won't clear up in time. I'm thinking I need to make an emergency appointment with my ear doc on Monday. Anyway, hope you feel better soon! Try to get in lots of vitamin C. Also, I'm not post-op, but I'd be happy to visit you at the hospital and kepp the group updated on your recovery. Let me know. Hope to see you at the meeting on the 13th! - Alice A. Guest guest
I've had a few instances where I felt dizzy as well. I'm sure a lot of you recall my post about being dizzy while sitting on the couch (hence Dizzy Di!). I've only had about 2-3 instance since. It will pass shortly. Guest guest
Alice, Best of luck to you, and hope you're feeling better in no time!! Dawn/Blondie/Ditz Just need to share... Hi all, Alice D. here. Had to share with everyone the visit I had from my friend " " ! I am usually healthy as a horse but last Tuesday I came home from work feeling like dog poop. lol Thinking it was just allergies (what with spring arriving...)I took my allergy pills and stayed home on Wednesday (don't want to take any chances...you know surgery is right around the corner). " " made sure that by Thursday I was worse, can't breathe, wheezing, etc. A call to the Dr. for antibodics, Friday and Saturday half dead...well, I think you get the picture! Luckily the drugs are kicking in and I should " pass " my pre-op testing on Tuesday (4/11). It seems I've been waiting so long, I would hate to be so close and not be able to have surgery on the 18th! I am hopeful that this week will fly by with pre-testing on Tuesday and the support meeting on Thursday evening! Anyone interested in putting on wings? I usually read alot, don't post much, but I wanted to tell all of you how much your posts mean to me. It is so good the the newbies are encouraged to ask questions and get quick answers (including the good, bad, and the ugly), that the old timers hang around and give back and continue to share, etc. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING HERE! Hope to meet some of you Thursday night... Alice D. Open RNY w/Dr. Thayer 4/18/00 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DON'T HATE YOUR RATE! Guest guest
Hey everyone! I had Vertigo, and it sucked! One thing that helped me BIG TIME was to take a motion sickness tablet! Trust me, it works amazing til you can see the Dr.!! Dawn Re: Just need to share... Alice, I understand what you're going through.
