Guest guest
Hi everyone, Glad to finally be here on the other side.Jo and Annie thank you for being wonderful angels - you guys are the best.Well I am taking things very slowly right now. My Mom and my daughter are taking good care of me. I am still pretty uncomfortable and feeling very weak. I am having a hard time with the diet - I don't feel like eating but I know I have to to gain strength- any tips? Also a nagging cough really hurting my incision line. Hopefully I'll start to feel good soon. Toni

Guest guest
Glad to have you back Toni!!! Sorry I never called you, believe me, you were on my mind a lot! Hope you get spoiled from mom/daughter, and one hint I suggest for weakness is to sip your CIB's after mixing them up in the blender with some ice...makes it feel a bit like a shake if you do it right, and sorta acts like a treat, but the same calories. Good luck! Keep us all posted! Guest guest
Hey, Toni -- so nice to hear from you on the "other side"! On the food thing, don't push yourself. Go slow, popsicles & fudgicles, cream of tomato soup, 1/4 of a scrambled egg chewed to death, jello, pudding. Not much goes down at this point. Take those vitamins and tums though -- very important. You'll have your strength start to come back next week, albeit slowly but you'll feel the difference! Guest guest
Glad you are OK. It will soon feel much much better. Broth or strained soups were the best for me at first. Sugar free Jello was my " treat " . Everyone is different. I could not drink the Carnation or the Ensure. anything that evens seems " milky " in any way is not my cup of tea. You'll find yours. I remember my mother mashing up a potato one day and thinking it was the best potato I ever had !!!! Take care, Kathleen
Guest guest
Hi everybody Annie just called, she had just been on the phone with Toni and wanted to let us know that Toni is feeling much better this evening. Dr. told her to take it easy and take liquid tylenol. Said she feels 100% better. She was trying to do too much too fast. Jo Re: Digest Number 219 Glad you are OK. It will soon feel much much better.
