Guest guest
Stacey, I am so happy for you. It sounds like you have a really viable plan. And don't the dh's surprise us sometimes. My hubby is the same way, he never remembers to do small things like cancel an insurance policy, and sometimes I'm glad. My fingers are crossed for you hon. Tara RE appt, ART Hi Ladies, I hope you all had a great Christmas!! I haven't been able to check my e-mail since last Wednesday so you can imagine all the reading I have done to catch up. I had the flu and was really feeling crappy, but thank goodness I felt much better on Christmas. I just have this disgusting cough that makes people stare at me when I do it. Anyway I wanted to give a brief update. I had my RE appt. on Thurs. which was to discuss our " next plan of action " remember I ovulated on the wrong side this month and we were not to ttc and ol quick draw McGraw let the swimmer lose before I could say anything. Well I used Tara's excuse (thanks a bunch) worked like a dream. I told the RE that there had been a little accident and I jumped around and tried to prevent any swimmers from getting too far. Well she was fine with that and didn't seem to concerned. As for the new plan. I have decided to go to the injectible route, the Gonal F. Although I will not be able to do it this next cycle because my family is leaving for Puerto Vallarta right (yaaaaaaa!!) right in the beginning of my cycle when all the shots and scans would need to be done. I am expecting AF on New Years eve!! We discussed with the business office the cost of this treatment since they looked up my insurance and none of it was covered and it will be 2,800 for all the shots and scans and doctors visits that are needed. Well I was really bummed out about that but figured we will do whatever is necessary. All of a sudden my husband asks the girl at the business office to check his insurance. When mine kicked in he was " supposed " to drop me from his. Well she checked his and they said yes they cover the medications and maybe the scans 5 @ $180.00 each. Then my husband looks at me and says that three months ago when he was supposed to drop me he never got around to it so I am still active on his insurance. Can you believe it. We ran to the hospital pharmacy to make sure it was true and we saved 1,300 right then and there. All we payed was the 10.00 co-pay. I can't tell you how thrilled we were. We bought the girl in the business office this really pretty angel and gave it to her for all her help. I considered this a very wonderful Christmas gift. Things happen for a reason and I consider us very lucky. Maybe things will turn around for us in the new year!! My RE said she is not real concerned with multiples because of me only having one tube so that was a major concern of mine that she explained. I'm sad that I have to wait one whole cycle out but I am not going to take any Clomid or anything this month so I can be drug free and ready for the injections in early Feb. Sorry this is soooooooooo long, I have been away from the computer for so many days I had a lot to say. Krista- Thanks for this site and please don't give any criticism a second thought. This has been such a tremendous help for so many of us during those crucial times when we needed it! I feel fortunate to have all of you because so many other people in my life " just don't understand " . Thanks for all your hard work!
