Hello to everyone. We went to the Dr. yesterday and my 5 year old Meg was such a trooper. They drew blood when we got there and we had brought in a fasting urine(1st am). Then theydid a three hour glucose tolerance test on her and they pricked her finger four times during this time and she had to give a urine sample and couod not have anything to eat or drink. She did not even cry once. She sat there and watched this big boy get sick at the sight of his on blood. He started throwing up and almost passed out. My little stinker was giggling. GREAT NEWS IS>>>>>NO DIABETES@!!!!!!!!! It was just the infection that made her BS 200 and spilling glucose. Thank the LOrd my prayers were answered. I'm sure all you parents can understand, I can go through anything but when it is one of my babies, it breaks my heart. Look at my pics on the sight to see the most

beautiful blue eyed girl. Thanks Bill for the info. Even though I'm a nurse, I don't treat very many juvenile diabetics. Most people are type 2. ' in Texas P S Have a job interview today with a place that got great benefits and short term and long term disability. Keep your fingers crossed for me Trista wrote: Sounds good

Hi that is great she did not end up having diabetes. I wouldn't like to

see any child going through having to give them self insulin shots

everyday.

I went to have blood drawn last week, my doctor requires it sometimes

when I get a refill on my meds. I was waiting at our local hospital and

this one guy and he had a very young girls with him and they just

stepped out from being treated. He was asking her if she wanted to sit

down and he asked her if she was able to walk OK. They sat down for a

second and their were a few women sitting there also. They told the guy

how cute she was. He told the ladies when she saw blood being drawn from

her she fainted. That was the reason for sitting her down. She looked

like she was 4 years old. She was looked spacey walking out the doors.

I went to ITT Tech here in Indianapolis and they would come through

every once in a while to get people to donate blood. They would cut one

of our bad grades if we volunteered. I saw several guys faint from their

blood draw. I was odd to see.

I marinated boneless pork in lemon juice, garlic, salt, freshly ground black pepper and olive oil. Then I sauteed it. I baked potatoes and cooked some corn.

Doesn't sound as good at Trista's and Akiba's dinners though. But it was good. I prefer the pork marinated like that and then cooked over the grill outside. But I don't do the grillin' and no one else was of a mind too. LOL
