Guest guest Posted November 9, 2001 Report Share Posted November 9, 2001 Hi, I'm Ellen from AZ. I was diagnosed with 1 cm. Papillary and had TT 12-99 followed by 27.4 mCi dose of RAI. Started .15 dose Synthroid. TSH was .08 for a year, felt depressed and tired. One year later, went hypo, TSH climbed to 70, TG was 20.1 Did LID and scan showed uptake in neck. Repeat dose 29.1 mCi!!! Changed to Levoxyl .15 dose and felt much better, less depression and fatigue. TSH has been .03 on same dose. 2nd year coming up. I just went off Levoxyl yesterday. Going cold turkey, Cytomel makes me too shaky. I'm scheduled for my scan on 12-14. I'm doing the LID again. New endo scheduled a FBS and possible 100 mCi RAI dose IF there is still uptake. Thyrogen not an option yet. Question, asking anyone who has had similar experience with 2 low doses of RAI to tell me if a third higher dose was necessary.
