county, and it would be wonderful to actually have the benefit of seeing this school open and not have to drive our children to Sanford, Orlando, ville, etc. For those of you that had a chance to meet her at the conference, the name of the organization and future school is the Chase Academy. At this point, Mimi Lundell, has been meeting with Easter Seals and ARC and has support from both organizations. They already have chosen a property in South Daytona that they are negotiating on. So as you can see, it is far beyond the "dreaming stages" that many of these types of endeavors turn into. Both Mimi and Mr. Jim King, the director of ARC are planning to attend the support group meeting in Ormond Beach on next Tuesday night to gauge the interest of parents for this project. personnel. I have attached flyers for their organization and I hope that anyone interested will either attend the Ormond group meeting next week, or contact them directly. They have indicated that they will be looking for corporate sponsors and other donations to make the school affordable to anyone that has a child with autism and related disorders. So basically this would be a "from the ground up" type of endeavor, but I think that it definitely is worth finding out more about it and showing just how many of our parents would be willing to support this effort.
