Amend HB 299 as follows:

(1) On page 1, strike lines 10-12 and substitute the

following:

" SECTION 1. Section 545.353, Transportation Code, is amended

by amending Subsection (d) and by adding Subsection (h) and (i) to

read as follows: " .

(2) In SECTION 1, add a new Subsection (i) to read as

follows:

" (i) The speed limit authorized by subsection (h) does not

apply to:

(1) trucks, other than light trucks and light trucks

pulling a trailer; and

(2) truck tractors, trailers, and semitrailers. " .
