Guest guest
Thanks JO....I feel like I am sabotaging myself...but on the other hand...I did what said...but does she mean not to worry about fat and carbs as a new post-op or should we start worrying about it at this point. Thats why I am sooo confused. And I am worried that this is going to be the hard point of our journey. I dont think I am doing terribly...and even on my snacky days....I feel like I have been picking protiens (not that I WANTED them...but because that was what I was told...) ya know. I have been passing up raw veggies on a daily basis as a snack...cause' said to choose protien. URRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Carla
Guest guest
Okay help me understand this. I know we can't over do it with carbs without running into problems, but Carla eats no bread if I remember correctly. If these tortilla chips are the only carbs she consumes, is that so bad. I don't understand what the percentage of carbs per day we should limit ourselves to. Anybody know? Guest guest
Carla, What about eliminating one of your meals and/or snack times from the tortilla's, then gradually adding the healthier choice things? This may be why you graza a bit, ...carb's tend to make you feel more hungry when you're needing the proteins, which last longer in the body? I myself have a few (about 10) low fat cheese-it's, but only once or twice per week, however I can eat breads (just found out that mom's homemade bread goes down a lot easier...NOT GOOD!). I'm not sure if maybe because there are no preservatives in it or something, but I do feel a LOT LESS hungry when I have a piece of her bread as opposed to the whole wheat...Next goal is to attempt tofu again...I know what I did wrong the first time I ever made it...I just opened the pack and ate it...NO WONDER I HATED IT>>>DUH! I had no idea that you're suppose to marinate, cook, saute, and grill...wow...see why this list amazes me sometimes! Good luck! Dawny ok here i go again >Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2000 23:55:33 EST > >Ok here I go again...stressing over what i could cut and what I could >change...I'ts obvious what I can cut out of this daily menu...it looks like >loads of food....but if you look at the amounts....WELL I AM >CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!!!!
