LOU BROWN TO SPEAK ON TRANSITION ISSUES JANUARY 13th IN BROWARD COUNTY Dr. Brown is an energetic advocate for our students with disabilities. He has been, and is, committed to developing programs that prepare our students with disabilities to live and work productively in integrated settings. His roles on behalf of our children include emeritus professor, lecturer, consultant and expert witness. He has demonstrated his commitment to our children for decades. He has been a proponent for the elimination of institutions, special schools, sheltered workshops and other forms of segregation. Throughout his career, Dr. Brown has noted the dismal post-school outcomes for students with disabilities and has worked diligently to transform the current system into one which will benefit our children. Please join us at the Renaissance Hotel in Plantation on January 13 (Saturday), from 9 AM until 1 PM, to hear Dr. Brown. He will discuss educational entitlements and post school discretionary services. In addition, he will address critical job development strategies and vocational preparation curriculum.
