Guest guest
Is there an activity that you've wanted to try but have been hesitant to do so because of your weight or other inhibitions? Umm... not that I can think of. But thinks like water skiing and skiing I wouldn't do. Not because of my weight, as because of physical limitations... ~*~~*~ "You are the strength of the present, the hope of the future. Oh definitely! I miss roller skating and the roller rink. The places are full of smart mouthed kids now, unless you go on family night - then there are A LOT of little ones and I don't feel confident enough (or sure footed enough at this size) to be able to avoid falling in my attempts to avoid them. Most people say if they won the lottery, they'd buy a house (or build one) with a pool. Not me, I want a big old barn of a building with a nice wood floor for roller skating on! Less maintenance and no one has ever drowned on a wood floor when the adults weren't looking ~ Hugs, "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming-- WOW--What a Ride!" Guest guest
I haven't responded in a while. Last week (a week ago yesterday) I lost .5 lb BUT last night I gained 1lb and that is the my highest weight yet. Our small group for some reason is getting smaller and only 4 of us showed up last night. I don't think it is me. Since we had two new KOPS and our last year's new KOPS, now a 1 yr, all haven't been coming to the meetings. Someone at SRD said that the Kops only have to weigh in once a month. Who told them that??? So now they only come probably that. One of them is our Weight Recorder, the other is our Treasurer. We need both to be able to carry on what is needed for our Chapter. Our only other KOPS has been taking classes on our meeting nights the last 3 weeks but should be able to start coming back next week I hope. OK, for the question of the day. I want to be able to play softball again but not able to because I weigh too much therefore can't run or field the ball fast enough. I can still throw and probably bat, then again if I hit the ball, I wouldn't run fast enough to make it to first base unless I happen to hit a homerun over the fence. Guest guest
I'm very tall and have always been extremely self-conscious and reluctant to any activity that will call attention to myself. ......and I am just the opposite, Deanna. Guest guest
Is there an activity that you've wanted to try but have been hesitant to do so because of your weight or other inhibitions? I love to watch ice skating, and would love to try it, but it's more my age that I am hesitant to try anything like this......sure don't need any broken bones. Guest guest
Is there an activity that you've wanted to try but have been hesitant to do so because of your weight or other inhibitions? YEA!!!! - Janet's Back!!!!!! I'm very tall and have always been extremely self-conscious and reluctant to any activity that will call attention to myself. So, there are many, many things I won't do. But, I'm getting better. I've joined 2 chapters of the Red Hat Society. When you're dressed in purple with a big red hat, it's hard not to be the center of attention. Especially when you are among 8 to 10 others dressed the same way. LOL Hugs, Deanna
Guest guest
, you are so funny. Parachuting isn't scary at all. My family does it three or four times a year. Most of them would do it much more often if they could afford it. The first time my oldest daughter jumped (at 40) I asked her if she screamed. She said, "Yes, I just kept screaming "it's so awesome, it's so awesome." As far as the tanning place, just put on your shorts and tank top and come on down to my house. An afternoon of helping me with yard work and you would have a nice tan ~~and it wouldn't cost you a penny. The brow thing is a snap too. Lots of men have it done. Just go to a beauty shop/barber shop that caters to both men and women (most do). It only costs $5 where I go. All of my son's have rather bushy brows but won't get them done. They say it is part of their heritage. They do have them trimmed a little though as they tend to grow long. Venture out!!! There's a lot of living out there to be done. Guest guest
I would say skydiving but I don't think I will ever do that. I'm too much of a wimp. It looks fun but if it came right down to it....I probably wouldn't do it after all. I don't think my weight would have been a factor in it either way. It's more my COURAGE! LOL! I look at the bad side of things. I could die, the shoot might not open, blah...blah...blah. That would be me so I probably wouldn't go through with it.BUT, this is embarrassing but I'm going to say it anyway, two things I've wanted to but haven't been...well....GUYS just don't do them LOL are getting my eye brows fixed and going to a tanning place. I know the tanning place is bad for you but I would do it anyway because I'm a white WHITE boy! LOL! I don't get much sun and I would love to have a tan. My eye brows aren't bad but I still hate them. They grow funny and I don't keep them up like I should. I would love for someone to do them for me and fix them up! And I would love to get a tan. Oh...Lasix surgery would be cool too but I'm not that brave either. Okay...that's about it! Maybe I'll get brave to do the eye brow and tan thing one day but I don't know about skydiving or lasix! FUN QUESTION! l8r! GEORGE QOTD # 52 Is there an activity that you've wanted to try but have been hesitant to do so because of your weight or other inhibitions? EMAIL TEXAS-STYLE!! Guest guest
Maybe I'll try skydiving one day. Still building up to it! It sure does cost a lot though. I would rather go tanning thanks! I'm lazy and I am allergic to yard work and grass and stuff! LOL! I will do the eye brow thing soon because they drive me crazy. I can swing 5.00 for sure! Thanks for the info! Guest guest
>>Is there an activity that you've wanted to try but have been hesitant to do so because of your weight or other inhibitions? I really don't think there is anything I want to do but not able to do because of my weight. There are things I would love to do but unable to because of my health though. The one thing I love to do is ride the motorcycle and we do that every chance we get. I would love to be able to jump and tumble on the trampoline with my grandkids but because of my back all I can do is mainly jump. Love pepper Check out the coupons and bargains on MSN Offers!
