Guest guest
Can someone help? I can't find anything close in my Stedman's. The patient is seen for follow-up of elevated, unconjugated bilirubin. This was only mildly elevated. We ordered a 5 nucleotidase, which came back normal. His urine came back normal ultrasounds have been normal. All the bloodwork has been normal except for a mildly elevated GGT. I have discussed this case with a couple of other people as well as a pediatric gastroenterologist. He felt that the most probable diagnosis was s/l " Yo-bear's Disease " since the patient is asymptomatic and has never been symptomatic. He has a history of significant alcohol abuse in the past but not at this time. This could be a mild contributing factor. *I think what's throwing me the most is that this must be an adult (due to the alcohol abuse) but he referred him to a pediatric gastroenterologist??? thanks for any help - lisa ¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø ICQ #946141 AIM = RaeComp Send me a message from http://ram.ramlink.net/~raecomp A bus station is where a bus stops. Guest guest
, I believe you are looking for Gilbert's disease (with the French pronunciation sounds more like Gil-bear's), familial benign elevation of bilirubin without evidence of liver damage per Dorland's, MG >>> 01/08/01 10:52PM >>> Can someone help?
