Joining you on our large soap box, the horrid news is that even IF you

qualify for "extra help," as I do, you still have to sift through 1400+ plans

to find one that will work for you. . . sort of. . . kind of. . . well, maybe!

Love to all of you coping with Part D-isaster! n

Re: Medicare Prescription?

Medicare part d is a joke. make sure you read all the fine print in all the possible policies, one may pay for your copaxone but not pay for insulin or vise versa then there's the whole you pay a deductible(usually 250) then they cover 80% for the first 500 dollars (you pay 100 out of pocket) then you are responsible for the next 2500 then the'll pick up at 90%

Good luck. It is all based on income and if you make 150% above poverty level(if you get mor than 1800 a month) then you fall into one of those plans.

It was a trick by the government to get people to think they were getting drug coverage when were they need to start id the outrageous price the drug companies charge

Ok I'll get off my soap box. But I see too many of my fixed income patients that have to decide wether they can eat or take their medicine

My wife changes where she works next week and I am wondering from any of you if medicare part D is what you use for your medicine? I am wondering if my Copaxone will be covered and also my insulin? How much will it end up costing me and any other details. I have been to the medicare web page and it has most of the info I will need but was just wondering from people using right now. I am hoping for a smooth transition.Bill
