Guest guest
I have a question to the small business owners of the group and the 501c (3) organizations. How intereseted would you be in a seminar at the conference about money management for your EMS service? I've have a friend who works for Stanley, an investment Brokerage Firm in Dallas, who has been listening to me for the last 5 years talk about how cash poor EMS is, and how we struggle from day to day with effects of medicare and HMO's. She is willing to give a talk if there are enough people out there who are interested. Some of the " finer " points of what she has available are; Daily sweep of all available funds into a money market account paying well above what the money markets are paying at the bank. Ability to use money market fund as a checking account, earning interest for the balance at all times (Most business checking accounts don't pay interest, or if they do, it's very little) ... (currently paying 4.3%, which is higher than the 6 month CD rates at most banks!) Brokerage services - stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. Lending capabilities MasterCard charge cards and debit cards Business expense tracking through self-directed categories, reported monthly and annually on a comprehensive statement Discounted services through ADP (Payroll) and lockbox services, as well as discounted business valuation services through KPMG. 401 (k), Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Long Term Care Insurance You can choose any or all of the " pieces " of this account; whatever is useful to the individual business owner's situation. I know this sounds like an advertisement, and I guess in a way it is. But if you're interested, e-mail me privately and give her a list of who reply's, and even if there isn't enough for a seminar, she can work something out just for you. I think as a small business EMS has been neglected waaay too long. , EMT-P mailto:michaelnelson@...
