You are so obviously meant for each other, you and your Chuck--my heart has been so touched with the sharing of your cancer, and how you both stood bravely together and raised up so much support for so many, and now what you are doing for other MSers! It is lovely. I am glad you are both home, and that the doctor seems so good and wise. Guest guest
I found mom's email she had sent to me recently about my aunt. and her ex husband use to live in Illinois but I can't remember where it was. My uncle Larry died several years ago. Hi All, is going to have novasc administrated to her brain next Thursday. This is a process that goes directly to the 2 tumors that she has. The quarter size tumor has shrunk to the size of a nickel and the pea sized one has also shrunk in half. She will have her surgery to remove her kidney August 31st. She is leveling off on her steroids and will take her last 1/2 pill next Thursday. She is really anxious to get off of them. Guest guest
Kate, I'm sorry you have other things going on besides MS. I was Dx with Bipolar Disorder II 4yrs ago & then right after I found out about the MS. I understand what you are going through with your parents. I worked with Alzheimers patients for 4yrs. I had to stop working last year due to stress & long hours. I do miss it but I like feeling better more. E. Colorado "Insanity runs in my family. It practically gallops." Guest guest
My memory problems come and go. Well, I always have cognitive dysfunction. When I'm tired I have a hard time thinking, remembering and retriving the correct words. I have permanently forgotten things from many years ago. I feel bad when I have forgotten things that clearly mean something to the person I'm speaking with. And then there was the time I backed my van into a truck outside the pharmacy, didn't think there was any damage and left. I was confronted by the owner of that truck a month or two later and had no memory of hitting him. When I told my daughter about the confrontation I was positive I didn't do it. My daughter said I had stopped at her house after hitting that truck and I told her about it. She just couldn't believe I had absolutely no memory of it. So, for me, it's not just long-term memory but short-term as well. And it's not everything--but just some memories that are gone. We have get together often and most of the times we are the only ones taking pictures for some reason. The digital camera is great so we don't have a pile of pictures in a box just collecting dust. Having them on a backup disc makes it a lot better. After we take the pictures family members like to see what we took so I often put them on the net and then email them out. I have been using Yahoo lately for my pictures now. Here are some new ones.
