Hi All,

I need to do a whole bunch of things in one post! Not unusual for me, but if

I was allowed to use that " S " word, I would.

Tracey, I wish the Dr. had better things to tell you. I'm glad you made an

appointment with the pain clinic, as I don't feel that this Dr. is the right

one for you. As for the pain meds, there are others that you may be able to

take, and you need to ask him about those. Your appt. with the pain clinic

is almost six weeks away, and I don't want those to be too painful for you.

In keeping with that, I was reading something prepared by the Office of

Scientific and Health Reports about chronic pain. Within that it says " They

have even found new members of the endorphine family: Dynorphin, the newest

endorphis, is reported to be 10 times more potent a painkiller than morphine " .

Anyone heard of this/using this?????

Kathy, I'm very happy for the improvements to your life, and hope that you

truly enjoy your vacation! To say I'm jealous is quite an understatement!

Ok, I think that's it for now!

Hugs,

Jo

Kathy,

I hope you have a wonderful trip. Enjoy

yourself!!! You sure deserve this trip and I'm so

happy for you. You've gone through a lot.

I have been on the phone this morning looking for

a new pain doctor and waiting for a phone call back.

Wish me luck.

Jo,

I agree with you about thinking this doctor isn't

going to help me much. I get the same impression. I

have been trying to find someone new to see and have

made calls to pain clinics and waiting on one place to

call me back now. I hope they'll see me. Found 2

places I can go but it'll be 5 to 6 weeks before I can

get in. Those will be my last resort. I'll

definitely be off my pain medication way before then

and would prefer to see someone before I go totally

crazy in pain. Wish me luck, okay. I'm really

nervous that I won't find someone. I just keep

praying about it. Have so many other things I'm

trying to deal with and this just adds more stress

which I don't need.

How are you doing? I've missed you. Oh, my son

put me back on AOL and my name is Dupuis5163. Hope we

can chat soon.

Love and Hugs,

Tracey
