Hi.

My name is Helen Stone .I read your email on denise's list. I know for a

fact most people alergic to dogs, are alergic to thier dander. Dander is

the shedding of the skin cells under thier coat and thier fur. Most all

dogs have fur. However Yorkshire terriers, Maltese, and poodles have

hair that need to be maintaned like a humans through grooming because

the hair will grow very long. . I am no expert just another Mom from our

group who loves dogs but hates the horrible shedding of fur in the

We are thinking of getting a dog but my son has

allergies like most of our kids. However, I am not

sure they are to dogs. We had a small dog and he

seemed to be o.k. Does anyone have kids that are on

the diet (due to food allergies) that have dogs with

no problems. We are looking into a golden retriever

and I know they shed. Need advice. Thanks in advance.
