Guest guest
<< Today a doctor suggested Elavil in 10 mg. doses. >> Hi Lona, Just wanted to tell you that when I started Elavil in 10 mg. doses, I had bad side effects within days. I was a zombie and I swelled all over my body. I could not even fit in my underwear or bras. I may be an exception to this drugs reaction on me, but it was not fun finding out after taking it that I was allergic. Be careful and watch for any kind of side effects. You may have luck with it, you won't know until you try. Terry

Guest guest
Hi , I think the average dosage is about 75 mg for an average weight/height woman. That's the report from Dr. Mom, at least. - 25 mg ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

Guest guest
I take 75 mg each night for VV. I've been on this dose since 1995. It alleviates the pain except for minor flare-ups. I don't know what the dose for depression is though. Sheri In a message dated 7/6/00 10:43:16 PM Eastern Daylight Time, kikipuppy@... writes: << Today a doctor suggested Elavil in 10 mg. doses. Guest guest
I mentioned a week ago that my regular Dr prescribed Elavil. Well it works alright but I have alot of trouble getting up in the morning & I'm exhausted all day. I'm on the lowest dose. So when I went to see my psychiatrist on Thursday I told him I hated the Elavil because of the fatigue factor. My regular Dr wouldn't prescribe Ativan or Xanax or anything so I asked my psych Dr if I could take one of those instead. He said sure & gave me Ativan. Wow that works much better. It doesn't stay in my system near as long as the Elavil did. By the morning I'm awake & refreshed! I'm much happier. School starts the 28th for my girls & there is no way I would've been able to wake up to take them. I could barely get up at 10:30!!! Only to come downstairs to find out the girls ate cookies for breakfast! E. Colorado " Insanity runs in my family. It practically gallops. Guest guest
I have been on Elavil for over 15 years and would not do without it. My Dr’s tried others but I could not sleep at all without it. I guess it just shows the differences of how the body reacts to different meds Kurt Kaptein From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On Behalf Of melissa e Sent: Saturday, August 05, 2006 12:38 PM To: MSersLife Subject: Re: Elavil I mentioned a week ago that my regular Dr prescribed Elavil. Guest guest
Ha, ha,…cookies for breakfast! There is a Cookie Crisp breakfast cereal, but it doesn’t appeal to me at all, but my daughter likes it. I never could take Elavil. It not only gave me horrific nightmares, but I was a zombie the next day. I hated it. But……..both my hubby, daughter, and SIL take it and have good results from it. My hubby takes it to help with his sleep apnea. My daughter takes it for migraines, and my SIL takes it for depression. My hubby and daughter take the lowest dosage. I’m glad you found something that is helping you now.
