I saw your message late because I was traveling. So, a month after surgery I am 100% back to normal (except for heavy exercise and lifting as precautions). No pain, no problems, great sex, just fine. The local and the best docs thought I should have a hysterectomy " at my age " but you know that with any luck your life span is another 30 years and why not have some parts to take on the journey? Folks here and elsewhere will help you find the right doctor. Keep looking. Hi Liz This is Judy--I am 57 and have a 13 cm fibroid and my gene suggested a hysterectomy because there is less bleeding than with a myomectomy. Maybe because I am old they feel they should do a hysterectomy. I am researching to find alternatives to hyster but dont know if I will be successful. Gay Courter gay@...
