Guest guest
For those of you in Virginia I wanted to let you know about the summer program that VSDB (the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind) is offering. It is a week long program from June 18th to June24. We live quite near the school and my daughter has friends that attend the school. She is very excited about the chance to attend for a week. She is mainstreamed and oral and only uses sign as a back up but I thought this would be a wonderful opportunity for her to have some additional exposure to deaf adults and kids and help her signing skills. The program will concentrate on history with regard to the SOL's if I recollect correctly. I can't lay my hands on the notice at this moment. The application requires a copy of the child's IEP from this school year. If anyone is interested let me know and I will find out more.
