Ive seen a hell of a lot of this and i think its sick and

disgusting, telling teens theyve got a permanent disease

and have to keep sitting in meetings for the rest of their

life. what bullshit! fortunately, most will grow out of

this crap eventually, but they can waste a lot of time and

get hurt a lot. also, i think the disease model helps

*create* addictive behaviour. partly thru simple

suggestion, but also sitting in NA meetings exposes you to

regular drug users, who may be using drugs youve never been

involved with, and you get into it (I saw it happen to a

friend of mine). once a teens settled down they dont ever

have to have anything to do that with that scene again if

they dont want.
