Guest guest
IRON SUPPLEMENTS – MORE TOLERABLE: I would recommend that anyone having trouble with taking Iron Supplements try switching to Carbonyl Iron & see if that helps. It is more expensive -- but for me it’s been worth it. -- I’ve been anemic & taking iron supplements for several months thanks to fibroids. At first the iron didn’t bother me much (I’m almost-vegetarian) but when I got so anemic I was craving red meat, eggs and cheese, it became a problem – sort of serial almost-constipation / almost-diarrhea & all the accompanying discomfort. I have found Carbonyl Iron to be MUCH MUCH easier on my GI tract – I’m back to being pretty much of a veg now, but when I went back to Ferrous-This or Ferrous-That, I found that is still more uncomfortable for me than Carbonyl Iron. When switching between forms of iron – be aware that many doctors tell you how much Ferrous Sulfate to take – NOT how much iron – some of them don’t even seem to know that they are doing this & tell you how much “iron” to take, when they really mean for you to take that much “Ferrous Sulfate.” Ferrous Sulfate is about 20% iron by weight -- be careful about dosages. Also, you may absorb Carbonyl Iron differently than Ferrous Sulfate -- REPLYING TO VOLUMINOUS E-MAIL / FROM DIGESTS A suggestion for dealing w/ e-mail from digests is: highlight the message or portion of a message you want to reply to/remember/reread, etc. - and copy it onto your clipboard. Then go to MS Word and paste it into a Word document there (this works from Outlook or from Hotmail –probably others)The MS copy command once text is highlighted is <Command> and “C” simultaneously; the paste command is <Command> and “V” simultaneously. You can reply to them by sending a new message rather than hitting the reply button. I think you could also copy into WordPerfect from e-mail (I do copy from MS Word to WordPerfect this way quite often & that works) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
