Hi , thanks for replying , and for the link . I don't eat most of

those foods being on

the BBD . I think it is a regional thing . I lived in Los Angeles for 12 years

and I did not have

Allergies or Asthma , now I have both again , makes you think why would I move

back to a

place that makes me sick , well , maybe clean air and water for starters . The

environment

is just getting worse and I have to find new ways to combat the harmful effects

it has on

me. I guess it is time to refine my Diet once again ... thanks for the link to

the Mucusless

Diet...........Peace .................Tom

thannk you excellent page on mucousless diet:

Mucous is acutally a simple sugar if defined sicientifically created in

the stomach by sugar from the foods we eat; never heard salt causes

mucous though; however it is The Sugar in Flour adn other carbs and

dairy products which cause the stomach to manufacture lots of mucous.

Salt prob. irritates the stomach can cause the mucous prodcution.

The Mucusless Diet (from the page you sent so we can all read this)

An essential step to healing the body is for an individual to

eliminate the mucus-forming foods from the diet, so as not to put mucus

into the body faster than it can be taken out or eliminated. Using this

procedure, not only are the sinuses, the bronchi, and the lungs cleared

but also the constipating mucus (catarrh) in the tissues of the body

from the top of the head to the bottom of the feet.

If this diet is followed as outlined, we guarantee that after a short

time you will have much more satisfaction from the foods we recommend,

for better health, than you ever had from the food of your former diet.

Now, what can you eat?

The Don'ts: Salt, eggs, all refined sugars, meat, all milk products,

flours and flour products.

The following food (secondary, denaturized, or inorganic) substances

are to be eliminated from

the individual's diet:

Salt:

For those who are accustomed to large amounts of salt, this may sound

difficult, but if you will

substitute coarsely ground pepper and savory herbs, adding powdered

kelp, you will find that

the craving for salt will immediately begin to disappear. Black pepper

is a good nutritional herb

and helps rebuild the body when used in its natural state. But when

pepper is cooked in food,

the molecular structure changes, so that it becomes an inorganic

irritant (as high heat changes

cayenne, black pepper, and spices from organic to inorganic), and this

is the only time when

damage results. The use of salts that are of a vegetable or potassium

base (such as Dr.

Jensen's, Dr. Browner's, and other various ones, which in some cases

contain some sea salt)

is all right, providing it is not overdone.

Eggs:

No eggs should be eaten in any form. (mucus forming)

Sugar and all sugar products:

You may use honey, sorghum molasses or blackstrap molasses, but no

sugar of any type.

Meat:

Eliminate all meats from the diet. A little white fish once a week, or

a bit of young chicken that

has not been fed commercial food or inoculated with formaldehyde and

other antispoilage

serums, would be all right (as these are the higher forms of edible

flesh), but do not use them

too often. (mucus forming)

Milk:

Eliminate all dairy products: butter, cheese, cottage cheese, milk,

yogurt, etc. These are all

mucus-forming substances and in most cases, are extremely high in

cholesterol (especially

butter). As a substitute for butter or margarine (hardened vegetable

oils, etc.), you can train your

taste buds to enjoy a good, fresh, bland olive oil on vegetables,

salads, and basic meals.

Flour and Flour Products:

Flour is eliminated because, when heated and baked at high

temperatures, it changes to a

mucus-forming substance. It has no more life. All wholesome food is

organic, where

unwholesome food is dead and inorganic.

The Do's: any whole, live, raw foods. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains,

nuts, seeds, and a small amount of fresh fish or chemical free

chicken.

Supplements: Revitalizing and healing aids.

Our supplemental recommendations will build up strength in the body

and start cutting the

mucus out of the tissues and remove the catarrh (mucus) from the

system.

Cayenne:

Take 1 teaspoonful (or 2 capsules) of cayenne 3 times a day. The

following information is for

the usage of the powder. However, capsules may be used in place of the

powder. (3-4 " 0 "

capsule is approximately equal to one teaspoon. Varies depending upon

the powder used.)

Start gradually with 1/4 teaspoonful in a little cold water; drink

this and follow with a glass of

cold water. Add 1/4 teaspoonful to this dosage every 3 days, until you

are taking 1 teaspoonful 3

times a day (the graduated dosages will accustom your system to the

pungency of the herb).

Honey and Apple-Cider Vinegar:

Place 1 tablespoonful of honey and 1 tablespoonful of vinegar in warm

water, so that the honey

will liquefy. Sip this amount 3 times a day so that at the end of the

day a total quantity of 3

tablespoonfuls are consumed. This must be apple cider vinegar; do not

use malts or other

types of vinegars, as these are damaging to the body. The apple cider

vinegar is medicinal and

very beneficial.

Kelp:

Each patient should use between 10 to 15 kelp capsules daily, if there

is any indication of a

thyroid problem; otherwise, 2 or more will keep the body in good

condition as preventative

nutrition. This can take the place of salt and helps build a new

thyroid gland. Kelp powder can

be used on salads and in other ways.

Molasses:

Take 1 tablespoonful 3 times a day of either sorghum or blackstrap

molasses.

Wheat Germ Oil:

Take 1 tablespoonful of a good, fresh wheat germ oil three times a

day.

Do not be concerned because this diet omits meat and the commercial

types of protein and don't worry about adding protein, as you will get

all that you need in these foods. The gorilla is built on the same

order as the human being, and he gets all the protein he needs from

just fruits, nuts and seeds.

The best food to start the day is fresh fruit or a good low heated

whole grain. This should be a cereal in its wholesome state (with life

in it). It can be prepared in a wide-mouth thermos bottle: Take a wide-

mouth thermos bottle, fill in the early afternoon or evening one-third

frill of grain, then finish filling the wide-mouth thermos bottle with

boiling water. Turn the thermos over two or three times to mix the

grain and water. The next morning the grain is ready for consumption.

Sprouted grains are another excellent and nutritious food source.

Alternate the grains. Almost any live seed or grain can be sprouted,

find the one you like and enjoy.

Fruit and vegetable juices along with dried fruits are another

wonderful source for this diet.

There are also thousands of salad combinations available, with some

investigation and experimentation, you will never run short of

interesting combinations. This diet can be challenging as well as

rewarding. The health and wellness that will result from following this

diet is reward enough. Click here for sample recipes.

Tank.

How clean is the air if you're suddenly getting airborne allergies again? Try

wearing a filtering mask to see if that helps.

Ordinary Table Salt

Many doctors readily acknowledge that ordinary table salt, which is almost

100% sodium chloride, can produce harmful effects in the body.

" Ordinary salt...interferes with the normal flow of all the fluids of the body

and so tends to cause rheumatism, catarrh (inflamed mucus membrane, causing

mucus in nose and throat), and other diseases...it creates mineral imbalances

and a relative deficiency of every other mineral constituent of the body. Then

by displacing potassium, it causes a deficiency of potassium.

In addition, Dr. C. West, a noted researcher on the lymphatic system,

claims that ordinary table salt upsets the delicate mineral balance in and

around the cell, thus interfering with the electrical function of the cell.

Sea Salt

In considering sea salt as a possible alternative to ordinary table salt,

researchers learned that sea salt contains too much magnesium and insufficient

potassium, since humans, like other land life, require more potassium than do

sea creatures. There have been lots of arguments among nutritionists and

holistic doctors regarding sea salt --- some praise the benefits, but others,

such as Dr. Carey Reams, a noted biochemist and healer (who in his clinic healed

many from Cancer), has stated emphatically that sea salt registered 8 times

saltier than regular salt when in the body and, thus, had a devastating effect

on the health of the body. He recommended to his patients to use no salt. He and

others say that the body wants the kind of salts that come naturally in your

fruits and vegetables.

I haven't eaten seasalt in a week and the edema that I get from sitting for so

long has lessened. It comes and goes normally. This is opposed to Dr.

Batmanghelidge's water cure theory.

I copied it from the Mucusless diet. What is your reasoning to disagree with

this?

It would seem that sugar would cause more mucus if one had a an underlying yeast

problem. ....RP
