,

Congrats on the loss this week. This just shows you, that you can still eat the good things in life just not the whole thing. You did good watching your portion sizes.

KAREN WROTE>>>I lost 2 pounds this week ~

KAREN LOST 2 POUNDS THIS WEEK!!!!! Sorry Darlin', but you didn't seem excited enough. LOL! I'm VERY excited for you! I know that you're trying not to focus so much on the numbers, but obviously that scale is reflecting the healthy changes that you've been making.

I hope you enjoyed the concert. You're going to catch up with pretty soon with all those concerts that you've been attending! I showed my 16 year old daughter the picture of your son with the 12 Stones member... she was so excited for -- She loves 12 Stones, too.

Enjoy your weekend.

What I didn't add about the picture of and McCoy....

hasn't had his picture taken since Christmas last year. Ha made a resolution to "make some positive changes this year." He never specifically said he resolved to lose weight as he didn't want to "jinx it" as he has in the past. So he quietly went about cutting out sodas and then sugar and then bread, etc... one thing at a time. is down over 70 pounds since Christmas last year and this picture REALLY shows it. He was in a 4X shirt and size 56-58 pants and now he is down to an XL shirt ( is VERY tall) and size 48-50 pants. His goal isn't a weight but a size - REALLY BAGGY XL shirts and pants that are 38-40 waist. He is too tall and big boned to go any smaller than that and not look like a refugee

I am EXTREMELY excited for him but I'm stuck on this plateau of about 10-12 pounds. I don't go up past a certain point, no matter how lazy I get or how much I eat and I can't get below a certain point no matter how much I exercise or starve myself. Sooooo, for now, I've contented myself with pretending I'm already a KOPS and just focus on making correct choices and not gaining or eating things that make me feel like a human dumpster. I also try and exercise at least 5 times a week and that's going to go a long way toward keeping me where I'm at and making me feel good inside my own skin. That is why you sense a lack of excitement and enthusiasm. This has been going on for 2 years and I'm tired of trying so hard and getting so little so I'm taking a break from myself and my inner voices screaming at me that "I MUST LOSE at all costs!!!!!" When I listen to them, I can get VERY self-destructive VERY quickly.

That doesn't help ANYONE so for now - I'm maintaining! If that involves losing too - GREAT! If not, at least I'm not beating myself up about it and second guessing myself to death!!!

, how wonderful to hear that is making healthy changes in his lifestyle. Much better for him to do it at his age, then to wait until more health issues are involved. I know his momma must be sooo proud. Please tell him that I'm excited for him as well. Over 70 pounds is AWESOME!
