MSM dosage is highly individual, so you kind of have to experiment on your

own to find the dose that works best for you. I would recommend that you

don't start with a high dose, usually around 500-1000 mg/day. Continue on

that dose for at least 7 days before increasing the dose. Then increase it

as tolerated. I currently take about 6000 mg/day in divided doses. I have

heard of some people taking 2000 mg/day and doing well, while others need

15,000 mg daily to maintain their health.

There may also be a difference in the performance of MSM brands. If one

brand doesn't work very well, you might want to try another brand. I use 2

different brands myself, while my hubby does fine on just one. I take

tablets from Natural Balance and liquid MSM from Innovative Natural Products.

I am probably going to try some MSM powder in the near future, as that may

be absorbed better. I have some problems with breaking down and absorbing

some supplements, and have found that I do better with powders and liquids at

the moment. Hopefully that will change as I heal.
